Privacy Policy

This policy explains how RMF Traders ("Chabuk", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use https://chabuk.co.in/ and buy from us. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Information we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, mobile number and password (stored only as a one-way encrypted hash, never in readable form).
• Delivery details: the addresses you save, and, if you choose to drop a pin on the map, its location coordinates.
• Business details (business accounts only): business name, contact person, GSTIN, PAN and business address.
• Orders: what you buy, amounts, invoices, delivery status, quotation requests and reviews you post.
• Payments: for online payments we receive a payment reference, the payment method type (for example UPI or card) and the result from our payment gateway, Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking password; you enter those only on Razorpay's secure page.
• Security information: your IP address and browser type when you sign in, request a password reset or submit forms, used to prevent fraud and abuse.

How we use it

• To create and run your account, and let you sign in securely.
• To process, deliver and support your orders, issue GST invoices and credit notes, and handle refunds.
• To send you messages about your orders (confirmation, dispatch, delivery, cancellation) and password resets.
• To assess business-account applications and offer business pricing and credit terms.
• To keep the website secure, and to meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

Only what each needs to do its job:

• Razorpay: to process online payments and refunds.
• Our delivery staff and courier partners: your name, phone number and delivery address.
• Email and SMS providers: to deliver order and account messages to you.
• OpenStreetMap: when you use the map to set a delivery location, the map and address lookup are provided by OpenStreetMap.
• Government and law-enforcement authorities: where the law requires it.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in and remember your cart. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If you block cookies, you will not be able to sign in or check out.

How long we keep it

• Order records, invoices and credit notes: for as long as Indian GST and accounting law requires (currently at least 72 months).
• Sign-in security records: 90 days. Verification codes: 30 days. Abandoned carts: 90 days.
• Your account: until you ask us to close it, subject to the order records above.

How we protect it

The whole site is served over encrypted HTTPS. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, payment details are handled by Razorpay, and access to customer data inside our business is limited to staff who need it.

Your rights

You can view and correct your details in My Account. You can also ask us to give you a summary of the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or erase it (except records we must keep by law), and you can withdraw consent to optional processing. Email us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

Grievance officer

For any complaint about how your data is handled, contact our grievance officer at sales@example.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Our website is meant for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
